Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 2025
TL;DR: RapidTools is a privacy-first platform. All tools run 100% in your browser. We never collect, store, or transmit your data to any server. Your files and text never leave your device.
1. Information We Collect
RapidTools does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) unless you explicitly provide it. The data you enter into any tool (text, images, files, URLs) is processed entirely within your browser using JavaScript and is never sent to our servers.
We may collect anonymous, aggregated analytics data such as page views and general geographic region (via a third-party analytics provider) to understand which tools are most popular. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
2. Cookies
We use a minimal number of cookies:
- Preference cookies: To remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). No personal data is stored.
- Analytics cookies: Anonymous, aggregated usage analytics to help us improve the service.
- Advertising cookies: If you see ads on RapidTools (via Google AdSense), Google may use cookies to show you personalized advertisements based on your previous browsing history. You can opt out at adssettings.google.com.
3. Third-Party Advertising
RapidTools uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to our website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to RapidTools and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info. You may also opt out of Google's use of cookies by visiting the Google Ad Settings page.
4. Data Security
Because we do not collect or store any of your personal data or tool inputs, there is no user database to breach. All tool operations happen client-side in your browser's memory and are discarded when you close the tab or navigate away.
The RapidTools website itself is served over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption) to protect against man-in-the-middle attacks.
5. Children's Privacy
RapidTools does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The service is intended for general audiences. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RapidTools after any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
7. Contact Us
